Flash

...
Flash technology has become a popular method for adding animation and interactivity to web pages; Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements, various web page components, to integrate video into web pages, and more recently, to develop rich Internet applications. "

While flash is a powerful tool, it has in the past been over used by creating entire websites in flash - which while looking lovely and giving the designer much greater control over presentation can be very hard to maintain and update. Here at acmConsulting we advocate using flash only in small blocks, keeping most of the site in xHTML

To the right you can see a range of sites created with Flash, some of which are full flash sites, others only use flash in blocks.
