The site needed to be easy to update and manage but also reflect the style of the shop. The shop sells a range of jewelry, ceramics and gifts from a wide range of local artisans.

It was important to keep the link between artist and product, so each artist has a small profile on the site, complete with a listing of all their products that are stocked by the gallery. Red Door Gallery also chose to use our hosting plan and training package to get the most out of their new site.

The e-commerce part of the site uses a modified version of the BakeSale system which is written in cakePHP.

BakeSale manages all the products, their associations and stock levels, as well as giving the administrator a simple yet powerful interface to keep it all up to date.
